A special thanks goes out to Constitution Elementary School in Glendale, Arizona. This school bought 324 books of
Secret Agent 44--Who Stole Air Force One? for all 3rd & 4th grade students. Thank you Principal, Ms. Amy Strefling and
Library Clerk, Ms. Nancy Riley!
In my presentation I share my children's novels-- Secret Agent 44--Who Stole Air Force One? and PROJECT-00. I also discuss the writing process, and teach youth how to become a star writer.
The illustrations and photos shown in the slideshow to the right are used in my power point presentation for students. The artwork really captures the students attention as I use them to tell stories from my books.
I have been a published author since 2003 and have been to over 1,500 schools in the United States doing author visits. I have experience with speaking to all types of groups and class sizes.
Reflecting upon my journey of creative writing, I have learned it is not easy work. Once you know the basic principles of how to build and structure a story, the writing process becomes easier, and you use your imagination to create a fun-filled story.
One of my favorite quotes is from children's author Dr. Seuss --
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
Thank you for visiting my web site. Come back soon for news about future books.
In October 2014, Mr. Kump visited all thirteen schools in the Oceanside School District in California and each school was wonderful to present at.

Mr. Kump visited Colleen Bevis Elementary in May 2014. Students and teachers were very impressed with his program. He talked about his books and the writing process. He taught the students how to build a story and become star writers. Mr. Kump's books are popular and most importantly reach some of our most reluctant readers. His books are packed with adventure! He is a fabulous writer and speaker! I encourage you to have him for an author visit.
